Thai Airways avoids bankruptcy

Thai Airways has avoided bankruptcy by convincing a Thai Court thats its proposals to re-structure the business have merit and will succeed.

Under the process the company will be allowed to rebuild its commercial operation into a profitable entity while protecting its stakeholders and creditors.

Leasing company Amadeo recently agreed a suspension of rental payments for the airline to help it solve its financial position and go into bankruptcy protection.

What isn’t certain is what will happen with the airlines A380 fleet under the present situation with demand virtually zero and the ability to fill them minimal for possibly years to come. The airline operates six of the aircraft.
