
Indian full-service carrier Vistara took delivery of its first Boeing Dreamliner. The 787-9, registered VT-TSD, was handed over at Boeing’s Everett Delivery Center this yesterday, and will fly to India, arriving Saturday (29th February).

There are three major ‘firsts’ for Vitara with this aircraft.
- First 787-9 operated by an Indian airline
- First to offer three-class cabin
- First to bring wi-fi to all passengers
Vistara’s first Dreamliner, registration VT-TSD, is arranged in a three-class configuration, with 299 seats in total.
The business class cabin is arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration, giving all passengers that all-direct aisle access. All business class seats are convertible to lie-flat beds.
Premium economy has a 2-3-2 layout in a separate cabin.
Panasonic in partnership with Nelco provided the IFE and WiFi for the aircraft.
