British Airways ends flights to China, global repatriation begins

British Airways terminated flights to mainland China for the foreseeable future, as a repatriation program begins for foreign nationals .

With passenger numbers collapsing and a recommendation to avoid all travel to China, airlines are being left with little choice.

Virgin Atlantic is in effect cutting flights to Shanghai until the 29th February.

International air lifts have begun with 200 British citizens to be airlifted out and placed in Quarantine for 14 days. Major EU countries, Australia, Japan and the US are all starting air lifts, with Australia placing quarantined passengers on Christmas Island for 14 days.
