China Southern is to fly its A380 from Beijing’s new Daixing Airport to London Heathrow.
It’s the first time the type has been scheduled to Heathrow by the Chinese carrier, meaning that other than ANA’s A380’s that operate just one route from Tokyo to Honolulu, every airline with one has at one time or another, flown an A380 to London. Even AirFrance and Lufthansa have operated one-off flights in the past. It remains the busiest A380 airport outside of Dubai.
The A380 will arrive at Heathrow 5 times a week from June 18th through to October.
