British Airways “all U.K. flights now carbon neutral”

British Airways as of January 1st claims all of its 75 U.K. domestic flights are now carbon neutral.

While claiming the airline was investing in high quality and verifiable carbon offsetting programmes around the world, including preventing deforestation and encouraging reforestation, it didn’t say what its emissions are, not did it say how much it was investing.

However recent European figures show that IAG, BA’s owner, is one of the worst airline groups in Europe at 91g of Co2 per passenger for each kilometre flown, the best are in the 70g range.

IAG claims it aims to be carbon neutral by 2050.
