A British Airways A350, believed to be G-XWBD was confirmed as being badly damaged in the Airbus paint shop late last week.
Rumours abounded as to what happened until Airbus confirmed that it had.
Apparently upper tail scaffolding and some tools fell onto the aircraft but Airbus declined to say what was actually damaged.
Airbus said they’re working to ensure everything is fixed before scheduled delivery in December.
BA will have received four by years end with routes to Bangalore, Toronto and Tel Aviv using the aircraft.
As an aside, last week BA announced its first 787-10 will operate to Atlanta.
