Virgin Atlantic winds down A340-600 fleet

My last sighting of a Virgin Atlantic A340-600. This is G-VWIN

Virgin Atlantic has reduced its remaining A340-600 fleet by another two in the past weeks, with G-VRED and and G-VFIT (which was the last one I flew on), having been decommissioned and flown to Tarbes in France, where Airbus store and/or break old aircraft.

The fleet is being replaced by A350-1000’s and the last flights are now planned for January 8th. Only one remains in service, G-VNAP, flying the “a big Virgin Atlantic thank you” livery.

My last sighting of G-VRED just before her last flights in September
