AirFrance-KLM Group CEO Ben Smith, confirmed yesterday that Air France will not take delivery of its remaining 787 orders, consisting of 6 aircraft, and that they will instead all be delivered to KLM by 2023 in a specification KLM will choose, likely to be 787-10.
In turn the 7 A350’s that were due to go to KLM, will now all be delivered to AirFrance in the same time frame.
There are no plans to swap the existing 9 787-9’s operated by Air France to KLM. AirFrance is about to take delivery of its first A350-900 in July.
