Singapore Airlines grounds two 787-10’s with engine fan blade issues


Singapore Airlines has grounded two 787-10’s as a result of premature fan blade wear on the Rolls Royce Trent-1000 engines.

The aircraft are to have new engines installed, and the rest have been grounded subject to examination, 7 were reported to be out of service just yesterday. One 787-10 returned to Changi from Nagano in Japan empty and a 777 was sent to rescue the passengers.
