Garuda looks to cancel 737Max order

Garuda Indonesia has officially requested terms to cancel its 49 aircraft order.

The airline has been considering cancellation for some time, but the recent crashes have brought the decision forward.

It’s unlikely the airline will suddenly switch to Airbus, it just has economic worries over such a large order amid growing competition and capacity issues.

Lion Air is said to be thinking about cancellations, but it has a huge order outstanding and Boeing will fight tooth and nail to keep a 200+ aircraft on its books.
