Delta Airlines yesterday committed to a further ten Airbus A330-900’s for delivery around 2021-22.
While initially good news for Airbus it cane with an announcement that the airline was deferring ten A350’s indefinitely.
It’s rare that aircraft postponed in this way actually get built. Delta appears to have looked at its long term capacity needs, resulting in in a sharp reduction in its large aircraft requirements.
