Nippon Cargo back in Europe after maintenance scandal

Nippon Cargo was grounded for the best part of two months by Japanese authorities, after it was discovered maintenance records had been falsified.

The desire to save money had become so insidious that not only were the records of almost every aircraft falsified, but lubricants for the engines and spare parts were used that didn’t meet manufacturer or safety rules.

Japanese aviation authorities have slowly permitted each aircraft to go back into service after extensive maintenance and process reviews.

October 5th saw NCA return to Milan and Amsterdam, having already resumed Hong Kong and Shanghai services.
