British Airways announced yesterday that it was ending 28 years of 767 operations before the end of 2018.
The airline operated 19 but has reduced that to 7. The type was operated in two versions, a European and long haul type, the later being withdrawn as the 787’s entered service.
The European type has operated busy routes such as Frankfurt, Istanbul, Rome and Amsterdam, while frequently being used on peak domestic operations to Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Model makers made very few versions of the type. Gemini made G-BNWB in the current livery in 1:400 and that was all.
