Japanese carrier ANA has been forced to cancel 113 domestic flights over the next two weeks using its domestic specification 787’s.
The ongoing issues with the Type-C package Trent-1000 engines have affected 113 of the companies engines. The Type-B engine is also affected and ANA operates 136 of the version.
There simply aren’t viable alternatives for ANA to bring in so many short term aircraft to replace them, so wholesale cancellations have been the only option.
Rolls Royce continue to work as quickly as possible to resolve the issues, which affect Virgin Atlantic, Air New Zealand and British Airways particularly badly.
