Airbus and Bombardier confirmed yesterday, that the deal for Airbus to take over the CSeries programme is now in effect.
Airbus now controls 50.01% of the new company CSALP, with Bombardier owning 16% and Investment Quebec 34%.
The programme will remain at Mirabel in Canada and Airbus will soon look at the construction of a US final assembly site.
There’s been no immediate indication of an aircraft name change, but the A200 has been suggested several times.
Bombardier said that it would now refocus its operations on the Dash-8 and CRJ programmes.
