Norwegian rejects IAG takeover bids

Unsurprisingly Norwegian while on the one hand welcoming IAG’s shareholding has already rejected two full takeover bids.

I suspected this would be the case. The owners want more money to make sure they exit with enough to fight off any potential case against them in the future, but they would rather not sell because they don’t want the whole thing opened up to public scrutiny.

Not selling means their share price stays high, the longer they drag talks on, the longer the price remains up, so there’s less likelihood of any other predator chasing them down.
