Airbus cuts A330 production 25%, raises A320 delivery rate

Airbus has announced at its Q1 results that the loss of orders for the A330 and the lack of new ones has forced it to cut deliveries by 25% from 2019. The airline will deliver just 57 per year – 4.75 aircraft per month.

At the same time it’s to raise A320 production to 756 a year – 63 per month from mid 2019.

There are no plans to increase the pace of A350 deliveries which are now at full rate and considered viable for several years.
