Austrian to modify its livery again

Austrian Airlines is modifying its livery and branding again in order to make it “fit for the digital world”.

The ever growing prevalence of Apple Watch, mobile booking, electronic boarding and arrivals gates, smaller screens and the need for clarity, seem to have driven the change.

Engines on aircraft will now be white, the style while red and white still, not dissimilar to parent Lufthansa.

Aircraft will be repainted over the next two years, the first a 772 is in Hong Kong being modified and will be revealed in May.
