It isn’t just Pratt&Witney suffering from engine issues and delays – GE, CFM and Rolls Royce all have serious issues of their own.
Norwegian has taken the decision to postpone the 737-8 services it planned to Canada this year because of engine delays – apparently running up to two months behind schedule. As that covers a major part of the summer season, the routes aren’t viable.
Norwegian said it regretted the decision but had no real choice.
It’s also likely to have a detrimental effect on the cash flow the airline needs to maintain its losses and expansion.
