Pakistan International is re-branding – already a move that has stirred some controversy in Pakistan by all accounts.
The video – provided by Taha Haider Syed – gives their reasoning and rather bizarrely shows the new livery on an A380 for the concept.
Using themes of flag, national animal and perhaps making it a little Euro-bland at the same time, with a sea of white, it seems to be this years trend. Think along the lines of Gulf Air and even Qatar for where the themes are originating.
It is different, it’s certainly new, but is it truly conveying the soul of Pakistan? The trouble with changing any flag carriers image, as Lufthansa have found out recently and BA before them, can be fraught with controversy.
