ANA orders 2 777F’s

Japanese airline ANA has ordered a pair of 777F freighters for its cargo operation. The aircraft will be delivered in 2019.

List price suggests $678m for the pair but airlines rarely pay more that around 65% for a standard production aircraft.

ANA has taken a very long term approach to its cargo operations, basing them around the 767, but feels with growing e-commerce that China and Trans-Pacific routes can handle heavier aircraft and bigger loads over a longer ranges.
