UPS and Amazon are allegedly both pressing Airbus to consider an A330-900F version of the neo.
The pair are looking at a reduced range but higher take off weight, with UPS having even suggested a stretch – which Airbus are unlikely to agree to.
The pair are both committed to the Boeing 767, but with the increasing demand for e-commerce deliveries, larger more modern aircraft are looking increasingly attractive.
Wether Airbus can make a business case for the type is uncertain. The demand for the A332F has been minuscule, but the current growth in air freight can’t be ignored.
