Cathay Pacific’s first A350-1000 rolls out of paint shop

Cathay Pacific’s first Airbus A350-1000 has rolled out of the paint shop in Toulouse, France.

The airline will be taking delivery of the first of 20 A35K’s in the next 8 weeks.

Cathay Pacific Group, already has one of the most modern fleets in the world, and is investing substantially in its future expansion. It will be taking delivery of 79 new aircraft between now and 2024, including six A350-900, 32 x A321neo, and 21 Boeing 777-9.

The A350-1000 will form an important part of the airlines long-haul operations, the first will be deployed on Cathay’s new route to Washington DC starting in September. The service to IAD will become the longest on the Cathay Pacific network, using the trans-Arctic route.
