Boeing 767 revival ruled out of contention

Boeing killed off any idea yesterday – started six months ago by Boeing – that it might look at reintroducing the 767, in the event that a new Mid-Market aircraft wouldn’t be developed or would be delayed.

This is in many ways more evidence that the initial pitch for the 797-X, which has been received well by Delta, United, TUI Group and others, is almost certainly heading for a formal launch and development. An in service date of 2024-25 is hoped for.
