Airbus fly first A321neoLR

Airbus flew the first A321neoLR on the 31st January at Hamburg Finkenwerder.

The flight was successful but the news of the event was Airbus admitting that it was planning on a further stretch of the A321 so that it could carry up to 250 passengers and possibly more. It’s tight maximum now is 244.

This would mean a fuselage stretch and Airbus are looking at what the project would entail, but underscored there was no immediate rush.
