British Airways to end Open Skies next September

British Airways Open Skies subsidiary is to end it’s Paris Orly to New York flights on the 2nd September 2018. The Airline was established in France in 2008 and used a pair of ex-BA 757-200’s for most of its life to date. They’re configured in business only seating.

In 2016 with business increasing despite competition from La Compagnie operating an almost identical service, BA added one of its retired 767-300’s in a multi-class layout.

IAG’s new low cost airline LEVEL will take the slots used by Open Skies, and ground staff and crews will be phased across to the new airline starting in June, as it begins operations from Orly.
