Hi-Fly and the sustainable environment organisation the Mirpuri Foundation have produce a timely logo jet aimed at getting younger people to understand the devastating impact of plastics in the oceans. This is a totally laudable project – last year I saw with my own eyes a whale starved to death by plastic bags it had eaten thinking they were jellyfish. It had over a ton of them in its stomach. Over 1 billion tons of plastic is dumped in the sea every year.
Lufthansa has decided to produce a pair of A320 logojets with Starhansa tiles to celebrate its Skytrax rating. Not quite as uplifting a cause.
