Azerbaijan Airlines has revised its agreement for Boeing 787s, in a deal which will involve taking five more 787-8’s. The news was publicised in Dubai but adds only 1 aircraft to a preliminary 4 aircraft order made in January.
The airline committed to buy two large freighters – although the type has yet to be confirmed. There’s the possibility 777F’s may be chosen to complement the existing 748F’s.
Azerbaijan had previously committed to four more 787-8s earlier this year, but during the Dubai air show Boeing disclosed details of an order for five which will take its overall 787 fleet to seven.
