Monarch doesn’t have rights to its slots court rules

Monarch airlines administrators applied to the UK court to retain rights to its landing slots for 2018 with a view to being able to sell them for around £60m to pay off its creditors.

The court ruled that there was no chance of Monarch ever flying again, it’s AOC was therefore suspended and only an active airline with an active AOC can maintain rights to route slots.

The court agreed the administration officers could seek a full judicial review but said it would make little difference, the regulations were unlikely to change.
