Canadian LCC Westjet has announced, during a quaterly financial statment, that it’s changing it’s 737 Max orders.

WestJet is swapping 7 737-8’s for 737-10’s.  These will be delivered during 2022-25.

It’s adding another 5 737-10’s to the current order for delivery from 2022. This takes the total order of 737 variants from 50 to 55.

It will also swap 7 737-9’s to 4 737-8’s and 3 737-7’s.

The -10 is seen as more profitable per seat and its increased price/leasing cost is marginal over the -9.
