Malaysia Airlines will deploy first class on its A350’s

Malaysia Airlines has confirmed it will operate the Thompson XL business class seat, upgraded and customised with doors and additional facilities for first class customers.

The rest of the first class package will be down to food and service offerings at both London and Kuala Lumpur. 

The first pair of A350’s should be operating to London by January 18th, removing one A380 pair, and the second pair will begin operations around mid-March removing the second A380 pair. The next pair of A350’s will be used on alternating routes to Seoul and Hong Kong rotating with the 4 London aircraft. 

The final pair are intended ideallly for a European destination but Malaysia said that it would require a joint venture partner to make that work.

The A380’s are being hived off into a specialist trading unit for contract work and will be reconfigured.
