IAG’s LEVEL to get 30 aircraft

IAG Chairman and CEO Willie Walsh told Routes International conferees in Barcelona Sunday, that LEVEL would get a second base, either Rome or Paris almost immediately, and 19 A330’s by 2019, extending to 30 by 2022.

I actually saw one of the ex-Iberia aircraft depart from Oakland last Tuesday and it’s quite a smart livery in the flesh. FR24 was still marking it as Iberia despite the livery change.

The customer profile Walsh spoke about is interesting, with demand higher than expected, some 80% of passengers flying from its base in Barcelona were on their first long haul flight.

Aeroclassics have released a 1:400 for delivery in October.
