Air Baltic to replace its turboprops with jets

Air Baltic has decided to replace its entire fleet of Dash-8 Q400’s, 12 aircraft, with either the CS300 or E-190S2. There’s a high level of expectation that it will be more Bombardiers as the airline is said to be delighted with the CS300’s for which it was launch customer. However Bombardiers are pricey and it will depend on the lease arrangements. It’s often a fact that more expensive aircraft are little more costly than cheaper ones, if the residual values are higher at the end of a given lease period.
